The Refinery Hotel is fine indeed!

NEWH’s Toasty Tuesday was busier than ever at the Refinery Hotel. Upon arrival, the ASI sales team took an intimate group tour, looking closely at one of the guestrooms.

Referencing the building’s factory roots, the furniture was custom designed by Stonehill and Taylor with little antique touches embellishing the suites including sewing-table styled desks, and old fashioned phones. On each floor, the hallways were transformed into gallery spaces, featuring local artists’ work which rotates seasonally.

The event was held in the lobby bar, but with such a crowd -- we could barely be contained and took over the entire first floor. Shoulder to shoulder, we ordered gin and cucumber drinks called Lusters from the bar’s impressive mixologists. They were totally worth the wait. Delicious!

For the rest of the night, we listened to the 1920s band playing music from the bar, said hello to friends from the industry, and networked with new faces. As we were working our way around we couldn’t help but notice the modern furniture, large windows, and high ceilings that decked out the lobby level. It makes me so proud to be part of such a friendly, lively industry. I am looking forward to touring another fabulous NYC hotel for the next Toasty Tuesday!
