Spotlight on Sustainable Products:
Designing Spaces for Work, Live and Play
Course Description
Architectural Systems has refreshed and updated its engaging presentation on the application of sustainable interior finishes in contract environments. This course will show how the “green” movement has led to advancements in the design of these materials, a new sensibility surrounding sustainable building, and the influence on factories to be more socially responsible in their manufacturing practices.
We will define the US Green Building Council’s LEED rating system and how it applies to material selection. With the use of compelling case studies representing the spaces in which we work, live and play, we will explore the criteria for sustainable materials and how integrating them can meet design, performance and LEED requirements. The conclusion will examine ways in which we can all embody an eco-conscious lifestyle.
